A new family of intracellular peptides
HelioXHealth is the exclusive U.S. distributor of PEP19™, formulated by Proteimax Biotechnology Israel, Ltd. Proteimax Biotechnologia Brazil, founded in 2001 in Sao Paulo, Brazil by leading scientists, Prof. Emer S. Ferro and Andrea Sterman Heimann. Their initial goal was to develop a method of screening, identifying, and commercializing antibodies and naturally occurring peptides, which are small proteins, for the pharmaceutical industry and basic research.
The unique screening method that was developed by the Proteimax Biotechnology team allowed them to bring to market several antibodies with the ability to identify changes in receptors that are affected by specific stress conditions.
In 2006, the science team decided to point their screening method to the mammalian endocannabinoid system in order to search for new peptides that can activate that system’s receptors. At the time, it was commonly thought that only cannabinoids can activate these receptors.
In 2007, after screening thousands of candidates, a new family of 54 peptides was discovered and registered. Some of these peptides modulate cannabinoid receptors. Based on current knowledge, they appear to show potential to solve some of the most pressing challenges of humanity, from obesity and type 2 diabetes to certain neurological disorders to the certain cancers.
Proteimax Biotechnology Israel, Ltd. was founded and started operating in late 2019. The company was registered in Israel on January, 2020 in order to commercialize the peptides discovered by its science team.

After completing his military service with the Israeli Air Force, Ilan Frank moved to the United States in 1989 to begin what would become a lifelong entrepreneurial journey. He founded Crime Alert Security in 1994 — a family-operated company that has provided national monitoring and advanced security solutions for nearly three decades. From UL-certified alarm systems to live AI video monitoring and enterprise access control, Ilan built Crime Alert on integrity, innovation, and a people-first approach.
Ilan’s natural drive for leadership and passion for improving lives led him to expand beyond security and into the health and wellness industry. Through ownership and operation of Restore Hyper Wellness Centers, European Wax Centers, and Amazing Lash Studios, he has built a multi-brand portfolio dedicated to helping people look, feel, and live better. His work with Restore introduced him to the transformative power of modern wellness technologies — a passion that ultimately inspired the creation of HelioXHealth, where science meets vitality.

Originally from Israel, Yosef Martin is a visionary entrepreneur best known as the founder and former CEO of BoxyCharm, the pioneering online beauty subscription service that transformed the direct-to-consumer landscape. Henry Legere, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Henry Legere is the Chief Medical Officer at HelioXHealth. His deep expertise and years of clinical experience help shape medical protocols, and service offerings.
Dr. Legere studied chemistry at UC Berkeley before he received his MD from Columbia University and completed his fellowship at Harvard Medical School for immunology. After this fellowship, he was a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School and served as a staff physician at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and MIT Medical.
He founded his own clinical practice and research center, and his team is known for their medical technology innovation and advanced protocols to treat allergies. Currently, Dr. Legere has 50 awarded patents and 25+ pending.
